Don't Fool Yourselves, Ladies...

If a man doesn't provide for or take an interest in his children, what makes you so disillusioned to think he'll do so for you? If a man was assigned by the State of Texas to pay $578/mo ($500 for child support and $78 to the State for medical insurance) in September and was delinquent $1000 by December, he's not going to help you pay your rent or bills on time. If a man chooses to be paid under the table so the State can't asses his support amount and his checks can't be garnished, don't count in him being honest with you. If a man has no contact with his children between visitations, never asks how the kids are doing in school, shows no interest in their lives in any way shape or firm (out of sight, out of mind), why in the Hell would you think he'd show an interest in you in the long run? If a man can forge a check, cash it and the steal the money from the person supporting his children while he lives for free with his mommy, what makes you even want to be around that kind of low-life piece if scum? He'll be getting his for that soon enough... Maybe you can bail him out of jail? I'm sure he'd be quick to pay you back.

Some men deserve to come with warning labels... Or, better yet, they should have to hand out a letter to every woman they come in contact with, sort of like a sex offender, warning them of what kind of idiot man they are. No woman deserves a guy who won't take care of his business.

So, ladies, choose carefully. If a man isn't taking care of his kids (it's really hard for me to refer to that kind of guy as a "man"), don't hold your breath that he'll take care of you. What he's actually looking for is someone to take care of him.

The Deal

Ok, I guess Blogger only allows 1GB of storage and it's taken me 7 years to reach that lol. I'm going to create a new blog. I figure that will also eliminate the snoopers on my blog who don't have any business knowing my life or seeing what the kids are up to. I will email/text the new address out to those I want to be a part of our lives :)

Wreath Making

Erin and I made a Halloween wreath for the front door! She covered a pool noodle with orange Duck Tape and then used lace from a dress she got at Goodwill to cover the tape. I made the flowers out of felt and we glued on the feathers. Voila! A wreath for under $10!

Random Kid Pics

Here's the random kid pic post of the week. Kendall in the bikini is her pajama of choice night. Then she was sitting on the couch reading her "friends" a book. She fell asleep and Blake stuck a pretzel in her mouth lol. And, finally, Blake lost another tooth while brushing the other morning!

C25K

So, for the past six weeks or so, I've been doing a program that I found out about to help me get back into running (when I say "back" I mean wwaaayyyy back... As in high school back lol). The program is called "Couch to 5K" and basically eases you from no running to running a 5K. I've been doing it. It really hasn't been too difficult. Week 5, day 3 (my last run) was a 5 minute warm up and cool down with a 20 minute run in between! Yipes! I decided to go to Town Lake and do it. I made it with a tad bit of walking. I've lost 7 lbs (the same 7 lbs I've lost before. Boo) and am seeing some changes in my body. Today is my week 6 day 1 run and it's much easier than the last one. My head and allergies are killing me, but I'm going to head out anyway and get this done. It's only 31 minutes... Not bad.

On another note, I've included a picture of what Kendall wanted to wear to bed last night. Eye roll.

National Night Out

Our neighborhood had a gathering for National Night Out tonight. I normally don't go to that kind of stuff, but, hey... There were free hot dogs and drinks and I figured it would get the kids out of the house and away from fighting with one another. We walked three blocks to the abandoned volunteer firefighter's station and has food and drinks. We met several of our neighbors and had a great time! One family we met has a son that goes to Blake's school who's in fifth grade and into a lot of the things Blake is into and they have a five year old daughter that is now Kendall's "best friend" lol. We had a fun night!
