Update

So, I've been slacking on my blogging lately...I guess I'm just dreading having to download my over 400 pics....I seriously need to get some printed. Maybe that will be my goal this weekend. All in all things are going really well here....same ole, same ole, really. Ooohhh....Blake gave me a mild heart attack Tuesday by falling down the stairs--from top to bottom. The gate at the top of our stairs wasn't closed properly (is my guess) and when he pushed on it, it gave and he went tumbling. I had to take him to the dr for x-rays--he had a limp and I thought he might have a broken leg--and everything turned out ok, thank goodness! He had a couple of bruises on his head and a limp for a couple of days, but that's it...he's a lucky little monkey!

I just got a message from Brett Dolinsky (for those of you who remember him from high school) and he jsut got back to the US from nearly a year in Iraq fighting for our country. He will be making a trip to Austin for a little visit! I'm super duper excited!!!! I just love to hang out with my Lansing peeps...makes me feel comfortable and happy!

So, other than this stuff, things are good. I've just been trucking away at school...just have the one class this semester, so it's pretty easy. I enjoy getting out of the house and talking with people my own age and all. Mostly everyone in my psych class are nursing majors, so I'm trying to make friends with as many as I can because I have a feeling I'm going to be seeing a lot of them in the future! I sit in class and just realize they are all my competition into the actual nursing program....sorta feels like reality tv in a way! Heehee....just gotta play the game, I guess....get good grades and absorb all possible info! Wish me luck!!!! I'll get some new pics for you all soon, I promise!!!

Here's yet another example of how Blake climbs on his toys....this is another toy I had to take from him for awhile...until the climbing thing subsides...IF it subsides... Posted by Picasa

Here's Blake going down the slide....he loves the slide! Posted by Picasa

Reaching his hand out to me so I will help him climb up the slide so he can slide back down--one of his most favorite outside activities! Posted by Picasa

So, Blake has started seriously climbing things...we have a little playscape deal in the backyard and he can climb both the ladder leading up to the monkey bars as well as the ladder up to the slide...talk about giving me a heart attack!!!! Look at that awnry look on his face!!!! Posted by Picasa

Haha....he did this all by himself! Posted by Picasa

On the first step.... Posted by Picasa

This is Blake's "cute" face...it's sooo hilarious! He scrunches his face up like this and looks at you all goofy....cracks me up! Posted by Picasa

Climbing onto the basketball hoop....it doubles as two toys--rocking horse and basketball.... Posted by Picasa

This looks like fun....Hurry, Grampy, get that rocking horse to Blake, he's ready to start riding!!!! Posted by Picasa

Blake tempting Jackson with the ball...sometimes Jackson gets a little out of hand and wild with Blake, but otherwise, he does really well! Posted by Picasa

Hey, this looks like a good seat!!! Posted by Picasa

Blake and me outside playing in the dark!!! NO, I am not on drugs, though this picture makes me look like I am... Posted by Picasa

2005 National Champions!!!!!!

The TEXAS LONGHORNS, baby!!!!!!! Haha...in the last 8 seconds, the Horns pulled it out and won the title! I caught the last 20 seconds and was extremely excited at the outcome of the game! Bryce and I ran outside and heard horns honking, fireworks going off, people screaming all around us! I can only imagine how it will be downtown tonight after this win the city waited 35 years for!!!! I'm a Kansan at heart, but you just can't help but feed off the energy and excitement going on all around you and feel a sense of pride! HOOK EM HORNS!

So, as I mentioned before, Blake is now a bit of a climber...he has figured out that he can climb on the couch, jump over the back of it and stand on the window sill in order to get the blinds and pull on the cord as hard as he possibly can....He can't always climb up on the couch unassisted, so he'll stand there and whine and pretend like he wants you to hold him, but once he's up on your lap, it's over and you realized you've been used! He's up and over the back of the couch in no time!!!! I jsut know he's going to end up breaking a blind one of these days.....

So, here are a few more pictures from Christmas that I hadn't posted yet and wanted to. It was a nice day, Christmas was. We woke up, opened presents...Bryce went to his mom's I went to lunch with my aunt, cousin Ryan and his girlfriend Alex (yes, folks, she's only 14...lol!). It was such a lovely day, we got to sit out on the patio of the restaurant! After a nice lunch, I went home and made a huge dinner for Bryce, Blake and me! Overall, very nice day!

Blake

Blake is a master basketball player! He can even throw things through the hoop that aren't the actual ball! Yeah...it's neat! NOT!!!!! Especially when it's my decorative breakable things...which are his favorite!

I put him in his exersaucer the other day...I thought it would be nice to have him contained for a minute!!! He actually loved it! It was fun...I think we're going to use it a lot more now, especially since he's climbing on everything now!
