We went to the pumpkin patch last Sunday....that was an experience, let me tell you. We drove an hour to get there and when we finally do get to the place, it's freaking 90 degrees and we find that they don't even really grow their own pumpkins!!!! We rode a tractor out to the Christmas tree field (the place is a pretty popular cut-your-own Christmas tree farm) where Blake hunted amongst the trees and the cacti for three mini pumpkins. There's just something not right about hunting for pumpkins in a field with cacti in 90-degree heat. After the little hunt, we went back to check out the imported pumpkins and they barely had any! We ended up buying our pumpkins at the local Methodist church where we've gone the past two years. Sorry about the sideways pics...Blogger wouldln't let me post them long-ways...stupid Blogger....

Blake's first bowling experience! This picture was taken about 15 seconds before Blake completely wiped out as he was trying to run after the ball on the oiled lane! He was so embarrassed!

Isn't this bowling rail neat!?! It helps the little ones get their balls down the lane. It helped Blake so much he actually bowled an 89 and won the first game! I don't even know that I can bowl an 89!!!! Check out his tiny little bowling shoes--they were cute!

So, I thought this was a pretty neat picture. It's a satellite image of the California fires. It's pretty interesting how you can see the smoke from so far away! Very tragic how many people are losing everything, though!

No News

Well....I have nothing fun to share with you other than I have a stubborn kid on my hands. The baby wouldn't move its legs at all, so we couldn't see what it was hiding. I was so upset I couldn't stop crying. I was so excited and there was so much anticipation.....FOR NOTHING. My doctor said I could come back in two weeks instead of four and he would let me do another ultrasound for free. So, that was really nice--they couldn't get all of the measurements and pictures they needed anyway, because the booger wouldn't cooperate. So...sigh...two more weeks. Man, I can already tell I have an awnry one on my hands....anyway...I'm super disappointed and upset.

I got Blake's Halloween yesterday! I was sssoooo excited! It was the second to last one left, it was on sale for half off and then an additional 25% off at Baby Gap!!! Blake tried it on at the store and had to walk around and growl at people while refusing to take it off! It was pretty interesting! He eventually asked to take if off, so we escaped having to walk through the mall with him in costume--thank the lord! He's going to a Halloween party Saturday, so he'll get the chance to wear it then! Our neighborhood association is doing a party and then we'll go Trick or Treating with a boy from Blake's school on the actual night of Halloween, so he'll get lots of wear out of the costume this year!!!!

My Kid's a Bully

So, Blake got to go to a birthday party Saturday--well, actually he got to go to two in a row, but I only have a funny story about one of the parties. We were at Matthew's bowling party first--Matthew is my friend from work Hollee's son--and I stepped outside with my friend Chris for just a minute to get something out of his car that he had for Blake for his birthday. I come back after leaving Blake unattended for five minutes and apparently he chooses to get in a fight with another kid! Lucky for me Hollee's mom caught Blake on film getting up in this kids' face!!!!! Apparently one of them said that Matthew was his friend and the other didn't like that, so they were fighting over whose friend Matthew was! I had no idea Blake was so possessive of his friends! But, yeah, I thought this picture was hilarious! A little frightening, but still.....funny! I have a ton of pics from the party and our trip to the "pumpkin patch" (if you want to call it taht) that I will be downloading and then uploading as soon as I feel like sitting in front of the computer and wasting my evening away! Oh, and tomorrow's baby gender day, so be waiting in anticipation for that post!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! THINK PINK!

18 weeks

Well, it's starting to stick out no matter what I do! I have NOTHING to wear these days! I need to buy maternity clothes, but I haven't really been looking forward to it! There's no where to go to buy anything decent! Gap's closest location is in San Antonio, about an hour away! I ordered a sweater online that was soooo super cute from Gap. I got it and it was way too huge, so I returned it to exchange it for a smaller size and they were out! So...no sweater for me! But....I guess I'll order a few things this weekend! I have to, I'm getting too big to wear anything I own anymore!

Birthday Party!

Blake's Third Birthday!

Blake's pirate face painting! It lasted about 15 minutes

The pirate ship cake!!!

Blake hitting Petey the Pirate Pinata

I don't know why, but my camera will not take videos any lighter than this no matter how light it is in the room. This isn't so much a watching video as a listening video, so I guess that's a good thing. This is Blake's theory on how babies are born. He had just told it to me, so this is the second time and he gets a little silly and doesn't quite say it the same way he did the first time, but it's still really cute! Enjoy!

Blake went to a birthday party the weekend before his party and was transformed into Spiderman! His allergies were bothering him, so he kept itching his nose and wiping the make up off, but you get the point! Luckily that stuff was completely washable!!!

Dear goodness, please kill me! This week has been ssssooooo slow at the office, I want to die! I have NOTHING to do! I've surfed all of your blogs in hopes that there's a new posting....I had some new things to look at today, but, other than that....NOTHING! So, here's a boring post for you.

Today is my 18 week mark. I would attach a picture, but Blogger won't let me right now. But, um, yeah....My allergies are really bad and I'm miserable, so....happy day. You know, I never had a single headache or a single allergy symptom when I was pregnant with Blake. In fact, my allergies went away until I got pregnant this time! Maybe I really am having a girl since things are going differently! Next Tuesday is the day! I'll have a very exciting post for you all that day! Let's keep our fingers crossed for a girl!!!!!!!!!

Lunch time! Yay!

More Pics from Blake's School Party

Here's a couple more pictures from last Friday at Blake's school. This is his whole class helping him celebrate his birthday! Aunt TT brought Blake the pumpkin bucket with candy in it, the froggy and the Thomas the Train balloon. His school really went above and beyond on his birthday! I was really excited for him!!!
I have tons and tons of pictures from Blake's party I will download soon. I think everyone had a pretty darn good time at the party. We had great weather--it must have been nearly 90 degrees, so kind of warm, but better than rain or cold! The face painter did a good job with the kids! I'll get on the picture posting sometime soon, I promise!!!

Happy Birthday Blake!!!!!!

(I don't know why this picture won't show full extent, but I guess you get the idea)

Blake is turning THREE tomorrow!!!!!! They always make a banner for the kids on their birthdays and put it outside of the door to the school. Blake's wasn't ready when I brought him in (annoying and disappointing), but his teacher sent me these pictures!

We have a huge day planned for tomorrow--I'm extremely stressed out!!!! I have about 10 kids coming with their parents and just a couple of Bryce's friends along with the various family members. I have tons of running around to do tonight and lots of prep tomorrow morning. The party will be at Grandma Pam's, which Blake is excited about! I'll have tons of pictures after this weekend is over. I'm sure I won't have any spare time to download and then upload to my blog until all is said and done! We have family in town and are having a dinner Sunday, so no relaxation is in sight for me until next weekend....yikes!

Anyway, happy Friday to everyone! Hope all is well! I will have many things to post about next week, so stay tuned!

I'm Bored at Work

I don't really have anything in particular to post today. I have some pictures I need to download, but I haven't gotten around to it. My grandma just got into town yesterday, so we're going to be hanging out with her this week.

Blake's birthday party is coming up this Saturday. I've invited nearly 20 kids, but so far only have RSVP's for 3 for sure. Yikes! This is stressful!!!! I've spent tons of money on goodie bags and stuff for the party and I've even hired a face painter, so if only 3 kids come, that is going to really suck! I know Blake won't care, but it will totally break my heart if hardly any kids come! I really hate throwing parties...I get so much anxiety over all of it. I worry that people won't blend well with each other, I worry that people won't have fun, I worry that I won't have enough food, I worry that no one will show up....ugh! Why can't I just relax and enjoy having a party!?!

Tell me what you all think about my party plans:

I'm going to have the kids come in as they show up...I will have the face painter set up in the backyard as the first table, so the kids can stop by him and have their faces painted. Then, they'll go to the next table and get a pirate eye patch. Then at the next table, they'll get a pirate hat. At the next table, they'll get a pirate tattoo (if it's ok with the parents). And then finally, they'll go to the picture station. I have this canvas that they'll put their faces through--two holes for pirate faces and one for a parate. The pictures I take at the party of each kid will be their thank you card! So...ok, it'll take a bit for all of the kids to get through the stations. So, the first kid will be waiting for awhile. I hadn't planned any games because I figured that age group wouldn't really be too into playing the games. So....I guess I'm just going to have the food set up and they can go from getting dressed up to eating. Then once everyone is done eating, we'll just get the pirate ship cake out, eat it and then open presents. Does that sound like fun? It sort of sounds lame to me.....ugh! See, this is what I'm talking about! I get too worried about everything! Tell me what you think....give me suggestions and let me know if you know of any ideas that I haven't though of. I want this party to be fun!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Happy Fall!

Blake's teacher sent me this picture today of him at school. So cute!

16 Weeks

Ok, so this is what I have brewin' today at 16 weeks! I am now officially 4 months pregnant--or "preggers" as my coworker Justin annoyingly insists on calling me. I only have a few things I can comfortably wear at this point, so I'm going to have to break down and buy a few things this weekend. Only 19 more days until we find out the sex and I can start buying either the blue or the pink! Very exciting!!!!

Blake's Picks!

So, it's bedtime in the Werth/Eddie household and Blake is pitching a huge fit (nothing new). He wants to watch a movie, but we're sort of having a no tv night for a change! We red lots of books and now it's time for bed. In order to calm him down, I let him help me post some pictures. These are his personal picks! Oh, and by the way, we do not hike his pants up like that...apparently they enjoy the Urkell look at his school....lol!

Blake trying on Daddy's new boots....haha! They went up to his knees and he could only take about one step before falling over! He asked me to take his picture, I thought that was funny!!! I think he was in mid-fall in this picture!

As promised, here's nature boy taking a pee off the back patio the other day! He was outside having a fit about something while we watched from the window (we try to ignore his fits to encourage him to find other ways to show his frustration) and had to go potty...apparently he couldn't make it inside! Heehee....that's a boy for ya!

15 Weeks

Ok, so here is the belly at 15 weeks. I think it still looks the same as it did, but....I dunno. It's poking out a little more. I felt the baby move on Friday at 15 weeks one day! I wasn't expecting it for another couple of weeks, so I was skeptical, but I'm certain I felt tiny kickings! Bryce could even faintly feel it on the outside of my tummy! The first trimester is so weird because you know you're pregnant, but you can't feel the baby, you don't look any different....but the fun stuff starts to happen in the second trimester! I'm sure this will be over before I know it, so I'm trying to enjoy as much as I can! I bought the cutest pregnancy journal called "The Belly Book". It has lots of places for pictures and writing! I did a journal for my pregnancy with Blake, it's a neat thing to have to look back at later.

Bring on the Narcotics!!!!!

Yay! I went to the doctor yesterday and my doc prescribed me VICODEN! I'm not big on narcotics, but beggers can not be choosers! I took half of one last night and it knocked me on my bootay! It's not something I can take at work, but at least I can get a little relief at bed time. Hopefully the headaches will just go away altogether pretty soon!

My doctor also scheduled my next appointment--THE appointment! We'll be having an ultrasound to find out the sex of the baby on October 23rd!!!!!!!!! Less than a month away! I absolutely can not wait to find out the sex of this baby! I can't wait to give it a name and get moving on the plans! I want a girl because it's just something new and different, but I'll be happy with a boy too! I always wanted to have another boy, because I think brothers are so cute! We will find out soon enough! Anyway, just wanted to give you an update! I'm going to go home--I'm at work right now!!!!!!!

Lisa's Pity Party...You're All Invited!

Ok, I know I already posted something today, but I just need to vent. So, I've had headaches off and on (mostly on) for the past two and a half weeks! I'm miserable. No matter what I do, no matter what I try....a dull aching is constantly in my poor head. I get home in the evenings after barely making it through the day at work (definitely not working to my full potential due to my debilitating medical issue) and I just can't muster up enough oomph to do anything but lay around. I totally hate it! I mean, I just made it to my second trimester, I should be feeling better, up and at 'em, running around, all of that, you know? But nnnoooooo....I still feel like SHIT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Excuse the language, but I'm not a happy camper.

Ok, so I finally broke down and called my doctor's office and spoke to a nurse today. She told me to go see my general practitioner....I don't have a GP! I only go to the female doctor, really. Plus, I have an OB visit on Monday, so I hate to have to pay all of these co-pays! I told her that and all she could say was that if the headaches get worse, to call again. THEY ARE WORSE, HO BAG! I've waited two and a half weeks to call, dont' you think I might be at the end of my rope at this point!?! So, yeah, I get to suffer through another week of these headaches. Hopefully my OB (who was not available for the nurse to speak with--she spoke with another Dr. in the practice) will give me the good stuff when I go in on Monday. I just don't know how much more of this crap I can take. It's a constant ache in my head no matter what I do....no matter how much sleep I get, no matter how much water I drink, no matter if I drink a bit of caffeine or not....NOTHING HELPS!!!! I'm assuming it's just the hormones circulating in my body--I hear they can cause headaches like this.

Ok, that's all....I'm a woman pushed beyond her pain threshold, so please watch out! Luckily I did not drive to work today (I carpool and today was not my driving day) or else the roads of Austin would not be safe!!!!!

Uuuuhhh....so I didn't post any pictures over the weekend. I didn't even stop foot in the room where the computer is (formerly the guestroom, currently a stock pile of Blake's junk and the few baby things we have left....). But, I do have exciting news--well, it's exciting for me at least....BLAKE POOPED ON THE POTTY FOR THE FIRST TIME SUNDAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Yay, Blake! I swear, this one has been a difficult battle. We've got him pretty much completely potty trained (the occasional accident happens, but that is to be expected), but he still refuses to try to poop on the potty....won't even consider it. Well, he kept telling me his bottom hurt and that he needed to poop, so I kept running him into the bathroom to try. Well, about the third time he said that, I just let him go in the bathroom himself and he sat up on the potty and actually went to the bathroom!!!!! I was so proud of him! He got to have a very special treat, which was a red popsicle and I made a very big deal out of it! I guess the whole deal didn't pump him up that much because he pooped his pants later that night....I guess you can't win them all! But, still, I was proud of him for going on the potty for the first time!

Not much else to report from this past weekend. I pretty much was alone all weekend because my boys had stuff to do. I worked at PBK Saturday and that's about the extent of it. I've had headaches off and on for the past two and a half weeks, so I really can't do much--they're almost debilitating. I bought all of the invitations and such for Blake's pirate party that's taking place on his actual birthday, October 13th--three weeks away! PBK has the cutest pirate party stuff and I kept not buying it because it was ridiculously expensive even with my discount, but it all got marked down and I just decided to get everything! Now I just need to choose a time for the party and I can start getting the invitations out. We're inviting his whole class, so that should be interesting. I'm hoping to have a lot of kids this year....this will be the first year the party will have more kids than adults! Wish me luck! I also got my baby girl bedding...I chose the lavendar. Hopefully this baby is a girl, because she has girl bedding and a girl name already....I still have another 6.5 weeks until I find out--it seems like forever! I guess it will be here before I know it!!!!

Ok, well, back to work for me. I just wanted to write a little update and let you know about our pooping fun!!!! Hahah!

14 Weeks

So, y esterday I was 14 weeks pregnant....I know how much everyone enjoyed the 12 week pic with the vag and everything, so I thought I'd post what the baby looks like at 14 weeks. So, you know, we're growing and and all of that. I guess I have a pooch these days, but I pretty much have had one since Blake was born, so it's hard to tell what's new pooch and what's old pooch. But I ordered my first maternity piece of clothing today. It's a really cute cowl neck short sleeved sweater from Gap. I hate that I had to order it and pay shipping, but there are no Gaps in Austin that carry maternity, which is crap if you ask me. We have a big meeting taking place at our office next month and I know the few pairs of pants I'm still able to eat will not fit by the time of that meeting, so I'm trying to boost my maternity wardrobe beforehand....blah.

Blake requested that I take his picture last night when he was playing baseball in the backyard, so I'll get those pics up soon. He also decided while he was waiting for me to come outside, he just dropped his pants and peed off of the patio. I had to get a picture of that! I was somewhat proud because he chose to pull his pants down and go instead of peeing his pants! I was NOT the one who taught him to pee outside, there are certain ppl who think that's a good idea....me, not so much. But, uh, in this case I was happy he didn't pee his pants! So, uh, yeah, I'll have that to post for you soon.

Nothing much else going on. I have to work at PBK Saturday afternoon, so that puts a damper on my weekend. I jsut got a review there last week and a nice $.23 raise--woo woo! In May was my one-year anniversary there. Fun times! I enjoy working there and the people who work there are all really great (there are a few exceptions, but for the most part, everyone is super cool). I'm going to by the crib bedding this weekend. I decided on the lavendar. I know, I know....I don't know the sex yet, but the stuff went on sale and if I don't get it now, I may miss out on getting it at all. I will be able to return it if we end up having a boy. The bigger bed stuff isn't on sale yet, so I don't have to get all of that just yet. But, anyway, that will be exciting!

Ok, I'm just blabbering now...it's a slow day here at the office, sooooo.....anyway....I'll post some pics soon! Oh, and I have a video of Blake telling me how babies come out of their mommies' bellies...it's a very interesting theory.....

Grandma Charla and Blake
Ryan and Blake
Blake throwing the golf ball around and then chasing it....he has tons of energy!!!

We went to my aunt Sandy's house a couple of weeks ago to help her celebrate her birthday. We had a fun time playing outside on the golf course! Blake actually cooperated and let me take his picture several times!

Thursday, September 13, 2007

And this is the only boy bedding I sort of like. It's plain and kind of boring, but it's all I can find for now. I know I have many months to go before I make any decisions and PBK will change their patterns like 100 times in between now and then, but this is the fun and exciting part for me and I can't help getting anxious about it!!!!!

So, if this baby is a boy, I'm not sure how he's going to feel about his nursery....But I've got the whole nursery planned out in my head and this is what I've picked. So, it comes in either pink or lavender and I like the pink, Bryce says it's too much...so, maybe lavender (also comes in green, but...eeehhhhh....blah). I'm planning on having the crib as you see above minus the quilt (we never used Blake's quilt, what's the point? I don't even like the quilt that comes with this set) and then I'll also have a twin bed set up just like you see it above--headboard and all. I think it's so cute! With my beautiful 40% discount at Pottery Barn Kids, how can I resist going all out!?! One thing you can't see on the crib bumper is that the other side has the polka dots on it. So, um, yeah...I guess I'm hoping this baby is going to be a girl? Haha! I always thought I wanted two boys because having to brothers would be really nice, but....after seeing this nursery set, I need to have it and that means I have to have a girl...haha! In all reality, though, if it's a boy or if it's a girl, we'll jsut be happy that we have a healthy one! anyway, just wanted to show the bedding I'm hoping to get in 7 weeks when we find out the sex of the baby!!!!

It's Aaaa.....

Face View
Profile View
Well, heck, we don't know what it is yet, but it is a baby and it does still have a heartbeat and it doesn't look like it has Down's Syndrome! All of the measurements came out well and things are progressing quite nicely! I will have yet another sonogram in 7 weeks that will determine the sex! Until then....hhhmmm.....I guess we just wait! I am so anxious to start buying cute little things, but everything is so gender specific! I'm sure the next 7 weeks will fly as my belly grows!

Question of the Day

Do you think 10:30am Saturday morning is too early to knock on someone's door to try to convert them to Johovah's Witnesses? I say yes, my coworkers say no....I'm wondering what the people think....

I had very good intentions of posting pictures this past weekend, but I did not do it. I only logged on to my computer once and that was yesterday to check my work email. Blake was sick yesterday and I had to take him to the doctor. Turns out just like about 80% of Austinites, Blakey Bookins has allergies. They attacked him pretty hard--he's taking an antibiotic to clear up any infection in his throat and ears (they were pretty red), allergy medication and a cough suppressant. He's back at school today now that I know he's not contagious. Anyway, I did not get around to posting at all. I have some cute new pictures to post as soon as I download them.

I'm going to the doctor tomorrow for my 13 week check up and Down's Syndrome screening. So, I will have another sonogram to post after my appointment tomorrow! I have a bit of my energy back, but I'm still more tired than usual, which I guess is pretty normal. I never really had much morning sickness. Some nausea, but that's about it. Nothing ever sounds good to eat, so that's pretty annoying. I try to eat pretty often, but when nothing sounds appealing, it's sort of hard to have the desire to eat anything. Oh, well....this too shall pass.

My mom was in town along with Mimi and Papa last week for my Aunt Sandy's birthday. We had a nice dinner for her Friday night--two home cooked meals in the same week--it was great! I have a few pictures from the party....I don't know what my deal is, but ever since I broke my fancy schmancy camera, I haven't really wanted to use my old crappy one again. Since the catastrophe, I have noticed I haven't been taking my usual quota of pics. Hopefully I'll be purchasing a new camera in the next few months and my normal picture taking will begin again. I need one you can drop more than once....any suggestions?

Ok, well, since I was out yesterday, I have about a million things I need to do at work today! Hope everyone's well and I'll be posting pictures soon!

Tuesday, September 04, 2007

Today's Bryce's birthday! Happy birthday, Bryce! I'm sure he never looks at my blog, but I thought I'd wish him a happy bday on here anyway! We're going to go to my aunt's house tonight for some yummy friend pork chops, mashed potatoes and homemade gravy--gotta love when Mimi's in town! Bryce has requested German Chocolate for his birthday cake, so his wish shall be granted! I should have some pictures for you soon! Anyway, happy 33rd birthday, old timer Bryce!!!!!

A few months ago (yes, I know I'm behind on my posting), Blake went to a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle birthday party. Here are a couple of pics of him and all of the kids dressed up like the "engine" turtles!

Ccccchhhhheeeeeessssseeeeeeee!!! Happy Labor Day! I'm going shopping at the outlet center near our house. Please pray I do not kill someone as I'm certain it will be elbow to elbow!

11 Weeks

Ok, so I'm 11 weeks pregnant today (I know there's a picture of me at 11 weeks, but I have pregnancy brain and that's really 9 and 10 weeks....). I thought I'd post a picture of what the baby looks like and what I would look like if I were skinny and had less butt cellulite--haha! It's starting to look more and more human like, so that's a good thing--I was getting worried! Just kiddin....Anyway...so, there's your pregnancy update for the day. I'm sure you're thrilled! More pics to come soon!

Remodeling

So, I had this beloved red twill couch that I finally decided I needed to sell in order to make room for more child junk. I unloaded it to a really nice gay couple who will treat it quite nicely. In exchange, I took my little wad o' dough to (where else) Pottery Barn Kids and bought the beginning of my shelving system. The pics didn't come out too well, but you get the idea. I love love love the shelves and will eventually buy more of them and add baskets and such, but all in due time. Anyway....so, we still need to be able to sit up there and relax and watch TV (especially when Sports Center is on the main tv...blah), but space is very limited in this second little living area. So, my question is....Does the chair look too big in the space and do you have any suggestions on what kind of chair/couch I could put up there that's reasonably priced? I was sort of thinking about getting one of those kinda inexpensive love seats that like pulls out into a twin size bed....but it's like foam. You know what I mean? I just don't know if they really make those or if I made it up, and if so, I really wouldn't know where to get one.....So, anyway, wanted to get some suggestions from the peanut gallery.....

10 weeks
And 11 weeks (a little late, but it's all good)
So, I don't know what's left over belly from Blake and new baby belly, but here are the pics nonetheless. I think the 11 weeks is a bad angle...there's no way I look like that....but whatever. Here are the belly pics! I'll keep you posted on the progress! Just another week and a half until the next ultrasound! Can't wait! Gotta keep making sure that little heart is still beating! The first trimester is so nerve racking, I swear!
