Yikes....don't look at the leftover belly!

Random Kid Pics

I tried twice to get the top two pictures to upload the right way, but they just won't--you know how testy Blogger is. Anyway, just thought I'd put up some pictures since it's been a little while. Kendall's starting to sit up a little bit--not on her own or anything like that, but she'll sit supported and is getting geared up to be a sitter!

And The End!

It's all finished now! We have to wait until Tuesday to start moving the furniture out of the garage, so one more day of being out of sorts, but it was worth it! I think the floors really add a richness that wasn't there before. We have to get new baseboards, but that will come eventually. We also have three boxes of wood left and are thinking about taking up the tile in the entry way and putting wood there as well. We'll see....we have a dilemma as you walk into the living room and there's the step down....the carpet used to be on that step and now we dont' know what to do there.....we'll see. Anyway, the major part of the job is done! We have a few finishing touches, but they'll get finished eventually! I'll try to get some pics in the daylight--it looks so much better in the light!

During....

This is how far they got on Friday.....we were left with a partially finished floor until 6:00 on Sunday. The stove had to be unplugged Friday through Sunday--talk about a pain! We're trying to get back to normal, but it'll take another day....

Before....

Here are the before pictures....

We had a garage sale over the weekend.....I had to grab my camera because, no lie, this van pulls up to the house with a trailer completely full of junk!!!! I guess our sale wasn't junky enough for them, they left after only a couple of minutes--they were there just long enough for me to run in and grab my camera and pretend to take pictures of Timberli while getting the trailer in the background..haha! Nichole brought a bunch of her stuff over and we both got rid of a ton of junk and made a little money as well!

This weekend was VERY busy! We had the floors installed--they look great! I'll post some pictures once I get some of the completed work. They started Friday and then couldn't come and finish until Sunday! We had no stove the entire weekend and couldn't really walk on the floors all that much! We were confined to the upstairs and couldn't cook! I had to work at PBK Saturday night after the garage sale...Blake had a birthday party Sunday...it was just a lot going on this weekend! I need another weekend to recover! Hope everyone had a good one!

AAAAAARRRRRGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!! I have to vent!!!! I normally park my car safe in the garage each night, but since we've got the whole flooring thing going on, the furniture had to go in the garage and I'm parking in the driveway. I noticed a scuff mark on my back bumper that hadn't been there the day before. Upon further inspection, I noticed that the scuff mark is from the football my stupid neighbors were throwing around last night!!!!!!!! They freaking hit my car and didn't have the decency to leave a note! ASSHOLES!!!!!!!! Pardon my expression, but it's only been two weeks since the hit and run and I'm a little jaded when it comes to spineless people not being able to own up to their vandalism!!!! Now I'm going to have to go over there tonight and lecture them and find out how they plan on making this right. I already have to pay $200 for the tail light someone hit and ran and $600 for the bumper someone hit and ran, and now I have to pay to get this scuff mark buffed out!?! What the hell!?! I hope it doesn't cause a fight because these people just moved in and are renters, so we're probably stuck with them for the next year. What would you do? Would you go over to their house and say something? I seriously don't feel like this should be let go. I feel like I need to say something. I'm just so angry I hope I don't cause a feud.

RIP Tarantula

So, yeah....that's a real, live tarantula. Here's the beauty of living in Texas--Bryce found this thing outside on a jobsite and brought it home!!!!!!!!!!!! Seriously! Bigo' tarantulas really live in the Texas wilderness! Makes me want to steer clear of any sort of treed area! Well, it lived in a little aquarium on our back porch for a few months before it starved to death! Yeah....the boys sort of slacked on buying its crickets and it died. Nice....I hate having once-free animlas in captivity! But, yeah....and, yes, in the last picture, the darn thing is in my house!!!!!!! I did this jumping up and down, running in circles thing when Bryce brought it inside and I realized it was in there....omg...yuck!!!!

You can't exactly tell, but she had the tag of this rattle in her mouth sucking on it like a pacifier--lol!
And she has learned how to grab her pacifier and take it out of her mouth. She's holding it by the nipple in this picture. She's sort of getting the hang of putting it back in, but she's not quite there yet.

I wanted to post these pictures of Kendall for you all. I took them last week. I think she looks so different in these pictures and you can really see how much she's changed in these 4 short months! No one can really pinpoint just who she looks like, but I like to think she's a good mixture of us both. Her hair is getting thicker--I hope she gets Bryce's curls!!! It's fun watching her grow and change!!! Oh, and yeah, more naked baby....I swear, she really does wear clothes!

Peace Out Carpet!

Look what I did! I took the carpet off the little step into the living room. Yes, it took me over an hour to get the carpet and tack strip up, but so what!
Watch out, girl with a hammer!

Getting the linoleum up out of the kitchen wasn't as bad a task as we thought it would be. Bryce ripped it out in a jiffy Saturday morning. we started to work on the carpet a tiny bit and then realized what a job it was and decided to be lazy and put it off for another time. We will be working on it this week--blah! The installers are coming Friday and Saturday to do the job for us! I can't wait!!!!

Correction

Um....I'm still suffering from baby brain (from what I hear, it doesn't go away)....When I posted about Kendall rolling, I meant to say she rolled from her back to her tummy! Geez! I'm losing it! She rolled from her tummy to her back at the beginning of July and now it's back to tummy. Ok, correction made. I am sorry for any harm this incorrect posting may have caused.

Little stinker thinks she's so stinkin funny! I had her ready for daycare and put her on my bed so I could get dressed and I came out and found she had pulled her socks off! She absolutely loves laying on her back playing with her toes...apparently her socks were in the way!

Well, she did it again! But this time she rolled from her front to her back!!! She doesn't roll too often, but I know she can do it, so that's what counts! Why is my tiny little child always naked in these sorts of pictures, you might wonder? Well....normally these pictures are taken at night and by then, she's spit up on herself so much, her outfit is no longer wearable. Can't wait for her reflux to go away!!!!

Our New Place

Blake and I have started going to the library! We went Monday night to return the books from our first trip and to pick up a few more. Blake's really into monsters and ghosts, so I promised him I would get him "Where the Wild Things Are", which he was obsessed with! He calls it "The Wild Ones". We didn't have much time at the library, but we found several new books to read--Blake could not wait to read "Where the Wild Things Are", so we sat down and read it right there at the library before we left. I would like to mention I don't normally let my child walk around in a caped pair of Batman PJ's, but it was pajama day at his school, so....yeah...I didn't feel like re-dressing him. Anyway, we had a really good time together going to the library and then picked up some sundaes at DQ on the way home.

4 Month Stats

Kendall went to the doctor for her 4 month (yes, it's already been 4 whole months!!!) check up on Tuesday. She's doing well and growing...well, slowly, but surely! I guess I'm just used to Blake--he was a big kid (still is!). So, she's 13lbs 13ozs and 24 inches (exactly 2 feet tall!). She's up almost 2 pounds from before and 2 inches. I need to pull out Blake's baby book and post his stats alongside hers, it's quite a difference!!!! She got three shots, which she was very angry about--she cried real tears, then stopped for a minute and cried some more. She's definitely a girl--so dramatic! I call her my drama queen! She's the smiliest baby! She wakes up smiling (I'm not always smiling when she has nights like last night---in bed at 9, up at 10, back down, up at 12:30, back down quickly, up at 3 to eat, back down at 3:30, BACK up at 5 to eat, back down at 5:20 then I had to get up at 6:20...I'm exhuasted!) and smiles and laughs all day long! She loves people--she doesn't care who holds her, as long as someone does. She's still going to daycare just three days a week, which is working out pretty well. Blake was going part time, but will start back full time next week. I think he's bored with me all day since I have to work when I'm home. I also started back working at Pottery Barn Kids last weekend. They're only scheduling me for 4 hour shifts on Saturdays, so not too bad. I have so many things I still want to buy--I just can't quit! We'll see how long it lasts, though....I do want to start nursing classes again somewhat soon. Anywhoo....I'm blabbering.

Yyyuuummm....ffffoooooooddddddd

And so the food saga began....yyuumm...Kendall wants some eggs too, Daddy!

Kendall tried her first bites of food last night! I gave her some cereal mixed with milk. She wasn't so sure about it, but she wasn't completely opposed to it, either. She didn't really open her mouth, I just had to get the spoon in there whenever I could. She ate a good amount of the portion we fixed for her. I don't know if it was a coincidence or what, but after eating that cereal before bedtime, she slept soundly the entire night! She went to bed at 9pm and woke up at 5am, not a peep from her at all! Normally she goes to bed at 9 and is up like every stinking hour (I'm exaggerating a little bit, but it feels like it!!). I have to just pop the pacifier back in her mouth and she's good, but geez...talk about not feeling very rested when I wake up in the morning! We're not really going to feed her cereal all of the time or anything, but we thought we might practice the feeding technique for when it's really necessary for her to eat baby food in a few months. Oh, and, yes, I do need a high chair--lol! We borrowed one when Blake was a baby and I didn't register for one this time around, so I guess we'll eventually get one because her on my lap isn't the best situation for spoon-feeding!!!!

Of All The Luck...

My first time going out since Kendall's birth and this is my punishment....sigh....my company had a happy hour in celebration of a good year so far at a bar downtown. I went for a few hours, had a few drinks and a lot of fun, went home, got in bed....When I got up this morning and went down to the garage to go to work, I noticed this beauty. This is my second hit and run! Someone hit my car last year and broke out the tail light (which I still have not gotten fixed). I just priced the bumper (cause it's plastic and you can't fix it, you just have to replace it) and it's $310 just for the part! Not to mention the labor and paint...sigh...I have bad luck, I really do. I was so proud of the parking spot I got and how it only took one try for me to parallel in....wish I would have parked a little further away!!!!!!!!
