Maybe He'll be a Mountain Climber?

So....We (and by "we" I mean Blake) have a climbing issue at the moment...we must climb on any and everything in the house. Not only must we climb on it, we must stand up on the object and balance, usually causing Mom a heart attack. Notice the same face in all of the pics....I wonder what's going through that little head!?! I'm sure it's something along the lines of "haha...I did it! When's she going to come get me down....3...2...1.....hhhhhaaaaaaaa!!!!!" Yeah...so....along with all the climbing, we have a lot of falling....gosh, I think we're going to have a metal plate in our head before the age of 2.....craziness!!!!

A Very Merry Christmas Indeed!

Christmas Eve, Bryce was dying to let Blake open a gift...soooo...he got one--an Elmo cell phone so he can stop using mine to call my dad all the time!!!!!

And here's Blake with his pile of presents.....couldn't get them all in the shot, though! Haha...spoiled kid! Like his Christmas jammies!?!

Blake totally got into ripping his presents open! I was surprised he did so well! I had to help him a bit, but he did pretty darn well--haha...and even I have on Christmas jammies!!!!

Blake got a basketball goal...this is really his favorite present of them all! He's really good at it! We play a lot with it...even Mommy can make goals!!!!And after it was all said and done...this is how Blake showed his excitement...and thanks....by throwing a fit! Ahhhhh the joys of parenting!

Heehee....I see a resemblance.....Does anyone else? Hope you all have a very Merry Christmas! We'll be enjoying the 70 degree weather down here in Texas!!!! Hope you all get a chance to see A Christmas Story, it's tradition! And it's on 24 hours on TBS, so WATCH IT!!!!

Hello, all! Not much going on here in Austin lately...we're getting ready for Christmas! We decided we'd spend every other year in Austin and the other in Lansing...so, I'm stuck here for the holidays (sob sob). Bryce, Blake and I are going to have our own little family dinner here at our house in the afternoon sometime, so I'm really looking forward to cooking and all...we'll see how it turns out! Blake sure is a spoiled little boy....he has tons of gifts under the tree! I'm looking forward to just spending time as a family..isn't that what the holidays are really about, anyway? Sucks that Christmas got so commercialized, really....but...yeah...anyway! Hope all is well with everyone!!!

I Did It!!!!

Well, I have officially registered for my very first class (well, not first ever, but you know what I mean)!!!! I will be taking Human Growth and Development! Yay! I have to take a pre-test and then I'll be registering for Human Antomy Lecture and Lab. I'm very scared....haha! That will only be 7 credit hours, but I'll ease back into things. This is really all I can take that will apply to the pre-req's I need for the nursing program. I was thinking about taking Spanish 2 again as a refresher and adding a Spanish minor, but I'm not so sure I want to kill myself...we'll see, though...I could get a better, higher paying job knowing Spanish--especially here in Texas!!!! Well, I'm super excited about my class! Hoepfully I'll be able to do all of this....at least I'm not working...I think that would just be too much! So, yay!!!!

Fun Times!

We got to meet Brady on Monday! Blake could have cared less about him being there....except when I was holding him, of course....he wanted me to pick him up, it was funny...I didn't know how he'd react. Brady broke me in and pooped on me, so that was fantastic....I forgot about those days....DO NOT miss them, that's for sure!!!!! We had a fun time meeting the little baybuh.....

Here's a nice little dose of Blake to brighten your day!!! He's getting so big and so funny! He laughs all the time with the sweetest little laugh you've ever heard! He came in the computer room the other day, snatched the piece of paper I was looking at and ran off laughing! I had to chase him (which, of course, was the object of the game) all the while listening to his little giggle! He's so funny! I'm enjoying my time off from work with him...we go to playgroup and story hour at Barnes and Noble and jsut hang out..it's nice to be with him.....so, here are some pics of the awnry little booger for ya!!!!

Christmas Is Here!!!!

I couldn't wait to get back to Austin after Thanksgiving to decorate our house for Christmas! We spent an afternoon putting the lights on the house (or maybe I should say Bryce did) and then the evening putting up the tree. I went out the next day and bought the garland and other pieces to put on the entertainment center--I made that myself (like Dr Phil on the tv?)!!!! Even Blake's room got a little tree in it! I'm surprised that he hasn't really tried to mess with it...

So, without my computer for an entire week, I had an innate (sp?) need to do something productive with my life, so one night while I was out Christmas shopping, I pulled into Hope Depot and bought some paint and went ahead and re painted Blake's bathroom....haha! I had to repaint the ceiling and everything--what a chore! I'm just glad it was a small room!!!! It went fron yellow and plain to blue and fishy! I think I did a pretty good job! I did it all by myself, the concept and all is purely mine!!!!!

Gosh! I've been trying to post the previous post for about three days now!!!! So, yeah...not a lot has been going on here....It's totally freezing, though!!!! I know, I know...you Kansans are thinking I'm crazy, but it just doesn't get below freezing here often and we actually had a little ice storm yesterday!!!! I'm a dork and took a picture of our literal icecicle lights on our house....

I've really been enjoying the chilliness, actually....I like it! Blake and I have been putting on the layers and playing around...INSIDE!!!! We've been running around so much getting ready for Christmas and all! He had a little fever last night, so we were up amost the entire night dealing with that....he's ok and we napped most of the day away today, so all is well again! I have tons and tons of pictures to post, so I'll be working on that this week and next!

Aaaahhhhhh!!!!

So, my computer went on the fritz and had to go to the computer doctor for a bit, so please excuse my absence! I guess I never really knew how many things I actually use the internet for until it was totally gone....gosh! Well, I'm back and this piece of poopy better not fail any time soon!!!!!!

After one failed attempt, we got our family pics taken for the holidays! They turned out OK....not great, just ok....I'll post them for you. Blake wasn't havin it for too long, so we couldn't get his one year pics taken...I guess we never will....We've tried twice and twice it's resulted in a total one year old break down....ahhhh, the joys of parenthood!!!

Well, I have absolutely fantabulous news!!!! Well, let me start off with the bad news....I got a letter about two weeks ago from school saying I'm not poor enough to qualify for any government grants....suck....well, Saturday, I got a new letter saying I have been awarded a $1200 Pell Grant (which will more than cover expenses at Community College) for next semester!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I have been yanked around by Austin Community College since April...I don't know if I should call and yell at them for being so incompetent or if I should go give someone a hug!!!!!! All I know is that I'm goin to school, baby!!!! Wish me luck!!!!!

We'll be in Lansing Sunday before Thanksgiving to the Sunday after....soooo if anyone wants to get together, please let me know!!!!

So, we spent all this money on presents for Blake for his birthday, but all he really wants to play with is a watering can.....I swear! I'm buying him toilet paper, a watering can and things to throw down the stairs for Christmas!!!
