On Friday, we had Blake's friend Jack who was in his first grade class and lives in our old apts come to play at a jumpy house with us. The kids had so much fun! Then on Sat, we met Aunt Sandy for burgers and ice cream. The kids liked riding playing on the cows in the play ground. And then today, we're at another jumpy house. Blake starts SECOND GRADE tomorrow, so we're celebrating the last day of summer. Kendall will start PreK on Wed! Pics to come.
Courtney needed me to watch Sage today, so she came over for a few hours. Kendall immediately started teaching her how to play on the DS. I thought these pics were really cute.
Happy Tuesday! Here are some pics of Kendall playing on the porch. It's sprinkling, so rain boots were apparently necessary.
I found a baby diaper idea on Pinterest today and decided I'd give it a shot. The pic is of the back of the diaper. Now Kendall's babies are ready for any accident they may have! I have been ordered to make wipees too.
While I was making the diaper, Jordan was finishing up the lamp he started making me. He completely fabricated this lamp for my living room! Now we need a shade and we're in business! So nice to have such a handy man!
Jordan and I took all three kids down to Port Aransas this past weekend for one more trip to the beach before school starts on the 27th. The first day, we hit the beach with some of Jordan's friends for an all day visit to the coastline. The kids had so much fun! The next day, Jordan's friend and work partner took us out on his Shallow Sport boat for all day fishing. It was a crappy day and we didn't catch a single fish we could keep. It was still really fun to fish in the channels and to have a ride on the boat. We really had a great weekend!!!
We took all of the kids to Town Lake and went canoeing again. It's such a nice, peaceful way to spend an hour. The kids love it. There was some wind that kept catching the front of my canoe and, man, did I have a rough time maneuvering with virtually no weight up there!!!! I really got a work out!
Kendall had her four-year check up at the dr last week (yeah, ok, we're a little late. That's how I roll). She's 41 lbs, putting her in the 70th percentile, and 43 inches, 90th percentile. She used to be in the 50th, but she's really shot up this year! She had her hearing and vision tested, and she's good. She also had to get three shots... Talk about dramatics!!!! She's all good now, though. She won't have to get a shot again until she's 11, thank goodness!!!
Kendall has her own style... She likes to wear as many things as she can get onto her body... Yesterday it was a Barbie dress up dress, fish nets and high heels. Today it was the dress I made her (she told her daddy I "sewed it up" for her lol), Blake's sunglasses and my visor... In the first pic, she's irritated I'm taking her pic and the second one, she's ffaasstt asleep lol
We went to the library tonight. Kendall was busy making friends while Blake and I read Attack if the Shark-Headed Zombie.
