Kendall

My darling daughter, I love her, but she is just not photogenic. As soon as you whip out the camera, any smiles, giggles, etc that were happening before are completely halted and this blank face is present. I decided we were going to have a photo shoot because I wanted a picture of Kendall with this yellow blanket to give to my Grandma Saundra who we recently found out has cancer. When I was a baby, she made this blanket for me, so it was special to me to be able to hand it down to my daughter! Anyway, out of like 25 pictures, I got one really cute one and thought I'd post it! We recently had Kendall's 9 month check up (I was a little behind due to the holidays) and she weighed in at 18lbs and was 26 inches long. Adria asked me why I always call her small when she seems pretty average, so I decided to look in Blake's baby book for some comparisons....at 9 months, he was 20lbs and 29 inches. So...he was a good bit longer than her and a couple of pounds heavier. I guess she just always seems so tiny to us because she started off so much smaller than Blake and she's able to wear clothes for so much longer than Blake did. She's about average for her height and weight, so that's good. She's crawling all over (her poor knees are red by the end of the day after crawling around on the wood floors, but she doesn't seem to mind) and I think she's trying to say "Blake". This morning when she saw him, she started saying "bah bah bah". I know, it's a stretch, but she doesn't say "bah" too often, so I was just thinking she was trying to make the B sound at the beginning of his name. Who knows? She does think he's rather hilarious! Oh, and she's proven to be a true groovin baby this month! She's quite the dancer! She'll bust a move to anything--commercials, her toys, my singing...whatever, she doesn't care. I keep trying to get a video, but, as I said before, as soon as I pull out the camera, she stops any movement. I'll keep trying....

lol, sounds like Louie, usually if I get the camera out he gets up from whereever he was and walks away, like nope, not getting me in any. I get so frustrated. He's getting a little better. Cute photo of her! Very cool about the blanket.
