With Aunt TT
Kendall with Lesa

She actually let Hollee hold her! She likes to shun Hollee and then laugh at her...lol...

Kendall begging for scraps...lol!

Kendall loves to look away right as you snap the picture!

Opening presents

Won't she be stylin at the pool this summer!?!

Even Laura made a special trip for Kendall's birthday! Thanks so much for coming, Laura!!! We miss you!

Here's a picture of the cake and the mini cake I made--yep, I said I made them both! I'm quite proud of how they turned out!

She didn't know the cake was coming yet or else I'm sure she wouldn't be crying!

Kendall eating her little mini cake with the hat Hollee made her! It didn't last long before she pulled it off...but it was cute while she tolerated it!
Yyuummm...cake...

After the party, we opened the present from Grandma Charla and Kendall stood right up and pushed it all over the place! She really liked it!!!

Playing with Grandma Charla before she had to leave

Kendall's big present from Mommy and Daddy. She's still small for it, of course, but I got a good deal and couldn't pass it up! We won't have a space for it in her room until the crib is gone, but I just had to get it! What little girl doesn't need a vanity just her size!?!

Birthday Celebrating

Well, I think I did this post a little out of order, but you get the idea. Kendall had a very good first birthday party! Thanks for making a special trip, Grampy and Patty!!!

Supper!

Mmmmmm.....Cake!

Lol!!!! Gramp's cake is ssoo good!

We celebrated Kendall's birthday with a very yummy steak dinner and homemade cake and ice cream! I must say, I think I gained 5 lbs just from my dad being here a couple of days!

Adria Came to Visit, Too!

I love the downtown view from the lake!

These might be some familiar faces! While Afria was taking her Texas roadtrip, she, Lindsey and Hank stopped through Austin for a quick visit! I wanted to take them to a park near downtown, but they were charging $3 to park, so we went to the walking trail that goes around the lake near downtown. It was a great day and I welcomed the excuse to be out with friends! Thanks for stopping by! It was great seeing you guys!!!

Time With Grampy

My dad and Patty came for Kendall's birthday a few weeks ago. It was a super fast trip, but it was so good to see them again!

What happens when you send two silly girls to Dollar Tree at lunch? Well....this is what you get....

We were on a mission to find non-candy items to stuff in Easter eggs (after I checked out, I got an email from Blake's school saying we COULD bring candy after they said we couldn't). Have you ever been to a store where everything's a dollar? Well, you should go....it's an experience. Actually, though, we find lots of good stuff there! I mean, if you need a really cute gift bag, Dollar Tree is your place! Oh, and Christmas wrapping paper....for real! Anyway....so we're scouring the aisles for something Easter-oriented and small enough to fit in an egg. The instructions I received were that the items were not to be a choking hazard and not candy. Uh...anything that fits into an egg poses a choking hazard, in my opinion! Anyway, so we're searching and in our endeavor, we came across glitter wands and had a baton twirling competition...I WON! Yes, I sure did...anyway, then I found these little porcupine balls in pastel colors that were the shape of an Easter egg (or maybe they had a bad production day and the balls were a bit off...either way, they fit into an egg and weren't candy) and some stickers. Perfect! Then, we came across the batons again and had another competition because Hollee wouldn't admit that I am better at baton twirling than she is. I won again. THEN we came to the end of the aisle and found these Grow 'Ems and couldn't stop laughing! They had a credit card (the bigger it gets, the higher your limit), the BFF that you see above, an Army man, various animals, a wife, a boyfriend, a brain, etc....very funny stuff! All in all....it was a highly entertaining lunch hour. A little bit too short, but isn't free time always that way!?!

Well, it's sort of a quiet Monday here at the office, so I'm taking a mini break from the non-hustle and bustle to update my sadly abandoned blog. I have a TON of things to post about...I haven't even begun posting Kendall's birthday celebrations! We had a nice weekend full of activity as well, so I have a lot of pictures to post from then, too. I dunno...the days just get past me and before I know it, they're over and I'm racing to get myself to bed at a decent hour! I have one picture I'll put up here from Kendall's birthday. She went to Lesa's house for half the day and then I picked her up so we could spend some time together. Lesa got her a little cupcake, which Kendall thoroughly enjoyed! Here's a picture of her eating it....I'll update my blog soon, I promise!

Kendall is One!!!!!!!

Well, our pretty pretty princess is one in exactly one hour and five minutes (or at 7:22pm on the 25th if you want to be precise)!!! Wow, I can't believe the first year has flown by so quickly! She got to have her very own photo shoot with her very first birthday cake on the 14th. She was very dainty about it, but got very angry when we took it away from her!!!! She didn't cooperate too well with the photographer, but I guess we got what we needed. Happy birthday to our sweet little funny girl! I'll have a photo montage up tomorrow...I'm sure you'll be holding your breath waiting!!

When we got out floors done several months back, we had 3 boxes of wood left over. We decided it would be good to just carry the wood into the entryway, so we finally got around to doing it last weekend. There was previously ceramic tile in there (wish I had a real before picture). Well, when the guys took the tile out, oh my goodness, there was dust everywhere! They gave us no warning whatsoever about them havnig to use a grinder, so we went downstairs and there was dust EVERYWHERE--including covering our brand new couches!!!!! I spent all of Saturday night and Sunday cleaning from top to bottom! And one of the guys said he'd clean, which he did, but he used the Swiffer Wet pads on our floor and man....they made such a greasy mess! I can't get the grease to come up no matter how much I mop, so our floors look like total and utter POOP!!!! I'm very irritated! Anyway, though, the stupid entryway is finished....It looks good, which I'm glad about. As for the rest of my house--I still have cleaning to do! There is a bathroom right off the entryway and they left that door open while they were grinding...I have a deep red color on the walls in there and I'm just going to have to repaint completely. The walls are covered in dust and you can't just wipe it off. Argh...No one can do anything to my standards, but this was just ridiculous! Anyway....Oh, and that one piece on the step does need to be stained, but that's just going to have to happen another day and time. We're just happy to have that step finished. It was hard to know what to do with it because previously the carpet covered it and when we took it off, we were left with a cement step. It's much better this way, but we will eventually have to stain that little piece. Ah, gotta love home improvements!

Random Shots

I made that brown and pink bow for a friend of mine, so I was testing it out on Kendall to make sure it looked ok and she did not appreciate it! She did, however, have a very fun time playing in the cabinet while I was cleaning the kitchen. I took the last picture of the kids this morning. Blake was trying to eat his Cheerios and Miss Piggy pulled herself up and was trying to take handfuls out of his bowl!
