Kendall really loves her daddy...she will just stare at him and listen to him for hours. He's the first one she really ever smiled at and he can get her to smile the easiest and the fastest!

Wearing Grandma's glasses

Ready to run!!!

Blake and Matthew

Blake up to bat

Blake's first T-Ball game...It was really quite hilarious! His first time up to bat, he hit the ball and then ran after it! Lol! He has another game this Saturday and then four more after that. They're highly entertaining!

One Month

Well, yesterday was Kendall's one-month birthday! Geez, where has the time gone!?! When I took her to the doctor a week and a half ago, she was 8lbs 15oz and 21 inches (she started out at 8lbs 4oz and 20 inches)...Believe it or not, that's the same size Blake was at birth! Funny! She seems so much tinier, though...I think it's because Blake had a massive head (hence the c-section) and hers is a normal size..lol!

She started smiling on purpose recently, it's so cute! She started out only smiling at Daddy, but now Mommy can make her smile sometimes too. We've been trying to get a pic of her doing it, but no success...Maybe I can get a video. Anyway...That's about all she's doing other than pooping, peeing, eating and occassionally sleeping. I don't think she got the memo that she's a newborn and should be sleeping like 16 hours a day. Oh, and she thinks night time starts at 1am and ends somewhere around 10am. Our schedule is all crazy. I have been trying like heck to keep Blake on somewhat of a normal schedule, but by 8am, I've had about 3-4 hours of sleep and if he'll stay asleep, I've just been letting him. I need to have him to school by 10am, but it's been so difficult to do that, so he's just been missing a lot. I enjoy spending the time with him since I'm home, but I know it's good for him to go to school also (and I have to pay for it, so he might as well take advantage of my hard-earned money!). Anyway, that's about it at our house...we're still trying to adjust. Hopefully we'll get a good routine going before I go back to work at the end of June!!!

Oh gosh...These pics just crack me up!!!! Aaaahhhhh...one-handed typing stinks!!! I'm gonna cut the caption short and let the pics speak for themselves!

Sweet, isn't he?
There's my sweet boy!
And we're going through a silly face phase....
Poor Kendall! Her little face broke out in this horrible rash about two weeks ago. I've been researching online to figure out what it is and I think it's cradle cap, believe it or not. I've been treating it and it's getting sssoooo much better! This poor kiddo...she's just had all sorts of issues since birth!

Kite Festival

A few weeks before Kendall was born, my friend Hollee and I took our boys to the Austin Kite Festival. It was a perfectly windy day! We had a lot of fun! Matthew brought his Gameboy...lol!

T-Ball

Blake started t-ball this past weekend. They had their first practice on Sunday and then their first game will be in a few weeks. He did pretty well! His team is the Green Dragons, which he's excited about, though he wanted to be the red team because that's his favorite color....Oh, well! He was excited to be The Dragons. It took him a little while to warm up to the other kids, but he did well in the end. His friend Matthew is on the team as well, but he wasn't at the first practice or else Blake wouldn't have been so shy. It was fun watching all of the kids run around...none of them really knew what they were doing...lol! I'll have to get a video next time--the kids are hilarious!

Sibling Love

Jackson the Protector

So, Jackson was really being weird the day I was in labor...it was so funny to see him acting all cautious around me. He knew something was going on! And now that we're home with our new "pup" he's been pretty protective of her. We have had him outside quite a bit, but when he's in, he looks at her like she's crazy when she cries and watches over her just to make sure she's ok.

This is probably the most beautiful picture I've ever taken...what's so special about this one, you ask, besides the precious baby in it? Well, this is my two week old daughter sleeping in her own bed! Yes, it is a miracle! I couldn't get Blake to sleep in his own bed until he was like 6 months old! This little girl has no problem taking her naps there! She'll sleep for hours in her crib! It's so liberating being able to put her down for awhile--I never had that freedom with Blake! She looks so cozy, doesn't she?

Learning about Jesus...
Blake and his cousins Wesley and Morgan..Blake is a couple of months younger than Wesley...heehee
Blake and Wesley
We went to Bryce's aunt and uncle's house for Easter and had a very nice afternoon with everyone. They had a big egg hunt for the kids, which was really fun!

Easter

Blake and Mommy both got baskets from the Easter Bunny!
Miss Kendall just missed being able to get a basket of yummies from the Easter Bunny! We had the basket, but no baby!
Blake coloring eggs

With all of the Kendall excitement, I nearly forgot to post our Easter pictures! Sooo....Here goes!

Blake being silly with Grandma Charla and Kendall
Kendall's umbilical stump fell off yesterday, so we decided it was time for her first real bath! Blake insisted on being in the tub, too, so we let him get in for a bit.
Kendall had to be hooked up to a heart monitor for 24 hours starting on Monday. We turned the monitor into the doctor on Tuesday and then had the appointment to go over the results today. Her monitor reading was "pristene"--no incidents, no episodes, just a perfect heart rate! She'll go in again in another month to do the same thing and then we will probably be able to change her medication administration to every 8 hours instead of every 6 hours. I'm really looking forward to that! Every 6 hours is sort of a pain! But she's doing very well! Sleeps a ton and when she's not sleeping, she thinks she's hungry....I call her "Rooter Scooter" because she's constantly rooting for something to eat! I forgot about how cute that reflex is! Blake's doing really well too. He's been home with me and my mom all week, but will go back to school part time next week. I have to keep paying to save his spot, so he's going to continue to go....I htink he'll enjoy having his friends around to play with as well...I'm pretty sure I'm boring! The rest of us are just trying to get sleep when we can...I feel surprisingly good for as little sleep as I've been getting.

Grampy got to come down and visit for the weekend! It was short and sweet and we missed being able to hang out with him--we were in the hospital most of the time he was here....Hopefully we'll see him again soon!

Aaawwwww!!!
