Just Jabbering....

Hi! I haven't really posted anything lately, so I thought I'd just write a little snippit of junk....here goes!!!!

So, the hurricane is over with and now California is on fire...anyone get the idea that God's trying to make a point? It sorta feels like the end of the world is coming soon! I guess we should enjoy our time while we still have it!

I didn't do a darn thing all weekend, it was nice! I was even on house-cleaning stirke, though I did manage to scrub down the kitchen and master bath...somethings just MUST be done. We ran a few errands Sunday and that's about the extent of our fun weekend! I think Blake's cutting another tooth because he's been acting weird....we got to sleep until 9am both Sat and Sun! amazing! That felt great!

Well, I finally decided on blake's b-day party! We're having it Sat the 15th at our house. We're going to grill hamburgers and hot dogs and hang out....hmmm...should I have stuff planned or do it casually like Bryce's party? Geez...I don't know! It starts at 3:00....anyone have party ideas? I decided not to have a theme. I'm just going to do different shades of blues.....I'm not sure on the cake yet. My grandma is going to help me make a Splenda cake for Blake so he doesn't go into sugar overload! I mean, think about it, we hardly ever give him sugar (why wuold we need to give him crap like that at his age!?! I'm not against it, I just don't think he needs to eat that kind of thing....some may call me over-protective, but I dont' think so), if he ate a sugar-filled cake, his little body would probably freak out! I'm sure the Splenda will be jsut yummy--we'll have a regular cake for everyone else! My friend Nichole helped me make some super cute invitations and I sent an evite to everyone else (thanks Nichole!!!). Hopefully it goes off well...everyone had such a fun time at Bryce's party, I think they have high expectations!!!

Nothing much else to report on my end. I'm enjoying my extra day and a half off of work. Blake and I have been gonig for walks and playing together, it's nice. I've decided to lost 25 pounds....I walked 4 times last week and went to the gym twice (once without Blake....never doing that again!!! And, by the way, I never got a response from anyone that I e-mailed about the gym childcare center). Hopefully I'll keep it up! Anyhooooo! I'm off to work...well, to eat lunch! Hope everyone's well! I'll download some pics soon...sorry to be so boring with my blog lately!!!

Wow you just seem to have it all together ;) I too have been taking some time off not doing anything too exciting the past two weekends. You will have to google like party games...don't know if you are going to have a lot of kids at the party but I bet you can find some neat games for kids or adults. And good idea with the splenda ;)

I think it's a good idea to keep it casual for the party...when they're young you just want something nice enough for pictures but nothing worth stressing over since he probably won't remember much, right? :)

I like the halloween cake, YUM!

I haven't received my gift certificate from Outback...I spoke with them 12 days ago. :( dang it, I think it's time for another email!

Lisa, I have a carrot cake recipe that is meant for 1 year olds. It's sweetened with applesauce. It doesn't have added sugar. It supposed to be super healthy. I got it out of my "what to expect in the 1st year" book. I'd be happy to send it to you if you're interested. It has a creamcheese frosting recipe w/ it.
